Become a Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with the Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation! We rely on the generosity of volunteers such as you to assist with the operation of our programs. There are a number of volunteer opportunities that exist within the Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation. We hope that one of our many exciting volunteer opportunities matches your goals and interests as a volunteer.
Fundraising Activity Host
Assist in building community support and interest in the Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation (SMCF) and its programs, specifically the Send-A-Kid To Camp Program through fund raising efforts.
Festival of Lights Volunteer
Volunteers will ask for donations and hand out candy canes on behalf of the Sudbury Charities Foundation/Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation at Science North during the Festival of Lights Event. We manage the light from Monday through Thursday from 5p.m. – 11 p.m.. Volunteers should be friendly, courteous and trustworthy. Must have transportation to Science North. Training will be provided. Great for families to come out and volunteer for a night. Businesses can also assist by having their staff come out and volunteer to support disadvantaged children. Students can gain community hours.
Delta Bingo
Volunteers will assist the staff in the verification of winners at the Delta Bingo. Identify winner, call back verification number and payout to winners. Volunteers should be friendly, courteous, trustworthy, attention to detail and reliable. Delta Bingo hosts a variety of promotions/events throughout each month. Volunteers will be utilized to help run these events. Some tasks that may be asked of you include drawing of ballots, distribution of draw tickets, redemption of prizes to winners. Training will be provided by Delta Bingo.
